I hereby tender my resignation from LiveJournal. This is my final post, although I may still play that whole “lurking” game and add a comment every once in a while. For the most part I’ll be working on my website and other such endeavours, so keep refreshing www.confederatewing.com for the next little while and you might actually end up at my new online home. 

As for parting words… 

-         I strongly encourage you to delete Facebook, or at the very least read through their privacy policies so you understand their stranglehold on your information (my tinfoil hat is very snug and very stylish, thank you very much)

-         Earth Hour accomplishes nothing, and in fact you waste more energy by participating in the event. Power is supplied to the grid whether you choose to use it or not, so really you waste more by not taking advantage of it.

-         I’m writing 3000 words on Machiavelli tomorrow (spoiler: He’s an ironic tosser)

-         Using absence to create desire is incredibly effective, though I probably won’t be able to test that idea anymore since I finally have a cell phone.

-         I may end up accepting a paid position as Arts Editor for the U of T independent newspaper starting in September.
